  • Namib Tsaris Conservancy
A 92-square-mile private conservancy between the Nubib and Zaris Mountains that was once farmland. The conservancy is now home to a variety of wildlife, including springbok and spotted hyenas.
  • Ongava Game Reserve
Located just outside Etosha National Park, this reserve was once farmland. It is now a rehabilitated wilderness area.
  • Orange River-Karoo Conservation Area (ORKCA)
ORKCA is working to restore the Orange River-Karoo ecosystem by purchasing land and expanding its landholding. ORKCA aims to create a sustainable economic model based on the wildlife economy, carbon restoration, and local businesses.
  • Solitaire Land Trust
The Solitaire Land Trust is working to restore connectivity for wildlife between the Namib-Naukluft National Park and other protected areas. The trust believes that buying additional land is the best way to revitalize the ecosystem.
  • Gondwana Collection Namibia
This group of lodges acquired 10 farms bordering the Fish River Canyon. They removed fences and sheep-farming relics, and reintroduced animals like red hartebeest, wildebeest, plains zebra, and giraffe.
Namibia has also created 86 communal conservancies, which cover more than 20% of the country. These conservancies are formed and run by local people, and they provide protected space for wildlife.
Incub8 firmly supports the benefits of rewilding in order to protect biodiversity and as a mitigator against climate change.  Now you can join us too!
